A brand ambassador is someone with an engaged community that positively represents a brand in a wide variety of settings. They help the brand build a positive reputation around their community by providing trustworthy recommendations.

Does this sound familiar to you? You may be pointing out influencers. However, despite their similarities, these two positions have three main differences:

-Ambassadors work continuously offline and online; influencers focus on online marketing.

-Ambassadors offer a more extended long-term relationship, whereas influencers can be paid per post.

-Ambassadors can occasionally create content, whereas influencers do it all the time.

According to a survey conducted by the PR agency Matter Communications, 61 percent of consumers are more likely to trust their peers and influencers than brands and traditional advertising. This is the power of a brand ambassador.

That is why your resume should demonstrate your knowledge of your potential employer’s niche. That company might be looking for someone that is already organically engaged with their brand and their niche.

Another thing you may want to highlight in your resume is your networking skills. As we mentioned earlier, the ambassador’s role goes beyond social media. They must represent the brand with word-to-word recommendations and by building a strong community.
