With our increasing consumerism, more factories are churning out goods now, than ever before. These factories need to operate efficiently and produce goods that pass all the necessary quality standards. This is where plant managers come in. These professionals are responsible for supervising the everyday operations of the factories and making sure all policies, procedures, and laws are followed.

You have to have a good understanding of the factory you are working in and the goods being produced. You also need to have interpersonal skills to manage and motivate various employees from various backgrounds.

This is a heavily male-dominated field and profession with women making up just 6.3% of all plant managers in America today. It is however a fairly well-paying job with an average salary of just a bit over $100k.

To qualify for this position, you will almost always be required to have a degree, with a bachelor’s degree being the most popular among applicants and only 8% having only a high school diploma. This recruiter-created guide will show you successful resume samples and tips that will help you create your uniquely attractive resume.
